RISK & COMPLIANCE

Navigating the various building owner statuatory obligations can be frightening at the best of times. Whether ensuring fire systems are tested and maintained to carrying out risk reviews of the general property, an owners responsibility is unyielding to say the least.
Asset owners are required by federal, state and local legislative requirements, which may differ depending on the class of the building or the location of the asset. An annual fire safety statement in NSW is called an Occupiers Statement under the Qld Development Code MP 6.1. In some states the provision of this type of document to a defined referral agency (such as Qld Fire & Emergency Services) is mandatory where in others it is merely a matter of keeping the document onsite for inspection if required. Asset owners may also be required by their insurers to ensure that they maintain their assets to a prescribed standard (or best practice) rather the minimal legislative requirements based on the location of the asset. Understanding the unique specificity of each asset is of utmost importance to minimise any potential risks.

FIRE SAFETY
Fire safety is a serious business – and an expensive one if not managed effectively. Our fire safety compliance audits will confirm your current infrastructure, maintenance requirements and notifiability (in case of any defects) across all affected disciplines (Mechanical, Fire, Electrical and Vertical Transportation services) to ensure your property and people are as safe as your bank balance.
ANNUAL FIRE SAFETY CERTIFICATION
Our team can manage the whole annual certification process, including facilitation of mandatory testing, review of all service and maintenance records in line with regulations, legislation and any fire engineered solutions specific to your site, represent you to your local authority and collation and preparation of your annual fire safety certification.
EMERGENCY PLANS
Emergency plans form an integral part of the site safety & by undertaking a site specific physical asset / precinct security vulnerability risk assessment we can provide a bespoke risk, health and safety management plan to compliment a review of any existing emergency procedures / site business continuity plans you may have. We will also develop in line with your business requirements any required emergency response procedures pertaining to over 30 emergent scenarios including Armed Intrusion, Water Contamination, Power Outages or even Structural Collapse.
ESSENTIAL SAFETY MEASURES (ESM)
We can conduct physical ESM assessments; conduct audits on ESM plant and equipment with condition and lifecycle replacement options; and provide you a condition assessment with lifecycle replacement and interim service / testing cost schedule.
